Microsoft has enabled more detailed previews of the upcoming Windows 8 operating system, by giving away Win 8-based tablets to developers and journalists.

This is My Next got hands on one of these devices, which are actually the Samsung Slate 7 11.6″ multitouch tablets with a pre-beta version of the OS.



If you want to preview this touch optimized OS yourself, you can download Developer Preview version from Microsoft’s webiste. The available releases currently don’t include support for ARM-architecture based devices, but only for x64 and x86 platforms (Intel and AMD processors).
